Does Kidlink
Have An Impact,
Really?

Will Kidlink kids, when they become adults, take a more global and long-term perspective on issues? Only extensive research can give the answer. While waiting, read the story about Tryggvi from Iceland . He joined in 1993 using these words:

Tryggvi R. Jonsson

In November that year, Tryggvi turned 16, and had to leave Kidcafe as a youth participant as he was too old to continue. So, he signed up as a youth volunteer, or Kidlink Graduate as we like to call them.

In November 1997 came his 20th birthday, and we asked him what he felt about the answers he gave five years ago. At the time, he was manager of Kidlink's teams for hardware, systems, and technical support. This is what he said:

I think this is what I feel is most special about what I wrote 5 years ago :)
I have seen in the Kidlink work that it is important for us to know and understand how other cultural areas think and to be able to understand each other. "Cultural Misunderstandings" (in blues version) can be so difficult. It is also so much fun for me to take this knowledge about other cultures than Iceland into my school, work and everything I do.
Just to know people from all these corners of the world gives you something that else you wouldn't have. And you could say that KIDLINK is to thank for.
