1. The easy way: Locate the desired mailing list on this web page, and click at "Join or leave the list". On the next page, provide "Your e-mail address" (make sure you type it correctly!). Then, add "Your name", and click
2. The not so easy way: Subscribe by e-mail.

As anyone on the Internet may subscribe pretending to be you, we have a confirmation process which works like this:

1. The Listserv (the system administering our mailing lists) will send you an e-mail asking you to confirm your subscription. Usually, you will receive it in a couple of minutes, so you should try to deal with it before you sign off from the net.
2. Confirm by clicking on the adress provided for you in the confirmation mail. The address may look like this: http://listserv.nodak.edu/cgi-bin/wa.exe?OK=F215F400 (Keep this mail, and the welcome message.)

Soon, the Listserv will send you a welcome message, and discussions from the mailing list you selected.
