There are many valuable teaching resources on the Internet. There are few better sites that www.kidlink.org which brings together teachers from all over the world to collaborate on curriculum based projects. For example: 'Math Around Us' takes place each year and encompasses different curriculum areas.

Describes a joint project involving developmentally disabled youth and telecommunications. The contact site for the exchange was made through Kidlink via the KIDLEADER board. The project involved 3 students in California who were matched up with 3 students in New Jersey, USA. Each pair created a book about a day in their lives totally through email that resulted in souvenir "books" about their friends when the project was complete. The idea for this project was based on a presentation in Brazil by Isamu Shimazaki, the Kidlink Japanese manager, and adapted for this particular situation.
