Special needs kids have been using
Kidlink all the time. They can start in
Kidlink whenever they can have a computer with an internet
connection and someone to guide them through the steps on site. This someone
can be a parent, grandparent, teacher or friend.
We suggest they start answering the four Kidlink questions using the first module of the "Who Am I Program". After they do the four Kidlink questions registration, they can use Kidlink's chats and do any of the fun projects available. Read the project beforehand to have an idea of what it is about. The Who-Am-I? first Module has 4 lessons. One lesson for each of the 4 Kidlink questions. You will find many activities to do on each lesson. Choose the activities more appropiate for your kid. The idea is to have fun. They have to enjoy what they are doing. It is so nice to learn while having fun! Your child will be able to post his/her work in the Kidlink KidSpace publishing place. Communicate with the person in charge of the project and get your identification and a space for your kid's work. For the "Who-Am-I?" Program, contact Epi Sepulveda. Browse what other kids have done for the project starting at: Contributions by kids and youth Some contributions from Escuela Especial Arco Iris (Rainbow Special School) in Chile:
Please note that it is not necessary to mention that your kid has any special need. These kids are only slower in doing their activities. They will have great fun and will be very proud to see their work published in the Internet.
