Kidlink is owned by its users. Their reasons for being members of the Kidlink Society differ. Some join because they love children and are concerned about their future. Others want to contribute to peace. Some are classroom teachers seeking to enrich their teachings, and others simply enjoy the friendship and challenges of being a Kidlink volunteer.

By using it, I would like to help my country's children to interact with the rest of the world, to exchange their capabilities, share problems, find out solutions themselves, develop human relations, grow within -and learn from the entire process. And from all these, it will not be just helping my own country's children but also helping children all over."

Around Kidlink in 2006:

More of Kidlink translated into a number of new languages. Some, like Hebrew, made it to the top page.
35 laptops delivered to schools in Jordan as part of a Norad funded project. The project continues in 2007.
The Jordan project has enabled us to strengthen our collaborative infrastructure considerably: KidCom, KidMail, KidPages, adult KidPages, KidSpace. Our infrastructure is now able to handle non-Latin characters seamlessly (includes right-left written languages like Arabic).
Who-am-I? curriculum connections developed for math, English (language arts), science, and social science (). Translation into Arabic.
