Children are the future of the
world, countries and communities. It is important that they receive the love
and care necessary to help them grow into good citizens, good persons. There
is a saying in English that expresses the idea that children should be seen
but not heard. We do not agree. To be intelligent you should learn to think
and express correctly. Children should have the opportunity of expressing
their opinions. Being a child should be a pleasant experience. Many times
it's not like that. the world should protect the children because they are
precious and they are our future. Group of Students from Yonkers,USA
Children have the right to get respect and we
are not respected on the streets by adults. The right not to be abused
and many boys and girls are being abused in their homes, the streets and
by their families. Children have the right to get an education and very few
are studying because they have some help from their family, many others cannot
study because they don't have the help of their family or the state. I ask
the president, all adults and policemen to please respect our rights
so we can get out of poverty and crisis and we will make our country a better
Bolivia. (street worker boy) Luis from Bolivia
We all have rights to have a stable family.
Children should have to study instead of working. Many children workers are
exploited by their bosses and by the people that live with them, uncles,
or unknown persons don't have any right of abusing them. These persons have
to care for them, make them study and not make them work, because they don't
know what the children go through to bring food to their home. The State
should provide a home for street children and for those kids that don't have
a family, they should care more for children, they should make a law that
ban children abuse in their homes or work. No one, even parents should hurt
children because they cause them physical and mental problems. Helen from
Bolivia
