Skills For Managing Feelings

Andrea from United States : I like to express my feelings...not hide them, like cats if you make them angry cats will scratch you, they won't hide it. And when cats are mad or happy they feel it so deeply and passionately, which I think I am determined and headstrong in everything.

"Happy and Sad", Art by Pang from United States 2002

John from United States : If only people would learn to compromise. What I can do is try to work out problems instead of getting mad and frustrated.

Lars-Erik from Sweden : I'm quite peaceful myself but I have quite a temper when I get angry. It's important to keep peace yourself.

Justin from United States : I'd like to see a world more of people that thought like John Lennon, who said something that he knew he wasn't peaceful and sometimes he got angry, but the idea is what you project. Man PROJECTed that they would fly and they did. So if people projected peace, society might be a little better.

Emily from United States : I can walk away when I get angry and write books about people finding peace. I can teach my children not to hurt people when they get angry but to walk away and calm down.

Levine from United States : This summer, when I get angry, rather than argue with people I am going to go running and find better ways of letting off my anger. I want to set a good example for my little brother.
