Shinjinee About Your Tsunami Assistance

I am a kidlink member from India.

Recently a major tsunami hit the southern part of our country, killing many people and damaging property. A lot of people from India and abroad came forward to help our people and we are grateful for that.

But we noticed that many people had donated things which perhaps they did not require themselves. So there were tons and tons of warm clothes for people living in a warm land.It is like what my teacher tells the parents - dont give your children the tiffin that u cant make them eat at home; charity is fine but it should come from a real desire to help and not from a desire to appease one's own conscience.I would be grateful if u posted my views on yiur home page as there are many well- meaning people who might genuinely want to help out.

Please also understand that I'm not trying to deride anybody's efforts to help.

Thanks,

SHINJINEE
