Local legend: 1735 the Jersey Devil was an old devil When he descended on Vincent town. the devil was born at the shourds house leeds point but the house no longer stands up. he killed cows, crops, fishes because of his bad breath. I consider that places have personalities.The place where I live has hills,mountains,hot climate,different kinds of fruit and vejetables all year round. My name is Yuliana Semenova.I study at school number 195 in Uzbekistan.
Solkan is a quite small and old Slovenian town with about 3500 inhabitants. It is situated next to a young town Nova Gorica. Both towns are close to the Italian border. Solkan was first mentioned in written historical sources in 1001, so in the year 2001 we celebrated its thousand-year anniversary. During the First World War it was damaged a lot. There are some of the old houses that give the town a charm. There was a settlement in the place of Solkan in Roman's time (excavations - two urns, jewelery?) Solkan was first mentioned in 1001.
