<A-Bev> This week we will discuss the topics 
  in English. Next week we will try Spanish.

<adriana> 5i think that our  ancestors were 
  more wiser.

<Diovanny> i just think they where innocent
<adriana> 7because they had more challenges in 
  life

<A-EpiS> Do you think they left us a world 
  that is better than they had?
<Lucas> There is more people with challanges 
  now then you think.
<Diovanny> yes they are
<adriana> 10like getting an education.
<A-EpiS> And do you think we are leaving our 
  future generation a world that is better 
  than we had?
<Beatriz> 12I think that in some ways we are, 
  but in other ways no.
<Diovanny> iI think  that they left us a 
  better world because we have more 
  advantages in life today
<A-EpiS> What are we not leaving better?
<Diovanny> It is better because we have more 
  technology
<Lucas> The grandparents left us a better 
  place, because they established principles 
  of life such as respect and maturity.
<Beatriz> 12There is still alot of violence and 
  drugs in the streets.
<Diovanny> I think that for our future 
  generations they are going to have a hard 
  time.
<Diovanny> Because their will be more 
  violence 
<Diovanny> violence is never going to change 
  because there is to many bad influence
<Lucas> I think that we will have some 
  problems in the world because of politics. 
  Some political leaders are doing what is 
  best for them. Bush will leave a deficit so 
  big, that our grandchildren will be paying 
  it off with taxc money.
<Beatriz> 12Epi what is your opinion on this 
  situation?
<Diovanny> yeah u right Lucas
<adriana> Our generation have better 
  opprtunities, like going to college. 
<A-EpiS> economic wise, Lucas is right I 
  think 
<Lucas> What will an education give you, if 
  there are no jobs?
<Lucas> People in my country (Poland) are 
  finishing college, and they come out, and 
  it takes them years to find jobs.
<Lucas> Same thing is happening in United 
  States,
<A-EpiS> But an educated person has more 
  opportunities to live a better life and to 
  make a better country
<A-EpiS> Don't you think you could leave 
  excellent principles to your grandchildren?

<Diovanny> well in dominican republic life is 
  to hard because of the economy and that is 
  why people come to the  U S for a better 
  life but is not thet good

  are being sent to other countries, because 
  of the deficit - it makes the prices high, 
  and less money to spend.

<adriana> When a country spends alot of money 
  and are in debt it gives less opportunites 
  for people to go to college and  get good 
  health insurance.

  and children right we can leave them better 
  off.  Everything in the world is based on 
  right and wrong, everyone makes mistakes 
  but the person that makes the least 
  mistakes is better off.

  influence in making war
<Katty> As soon as young adults turn 18 they 
  don't even vote or care who's there 
  president
<A-EpiS> and in making peace
<Katty> Personally I think the voting age 
  should be changed to 16 years of age
<A-Bev> Hi, Liliana?  What do you think?  
  What can we teach our children and 
  grandchildren so that this will be a better 
  world?
<Chris> Yes were are, thats why i think that 
  if we teach our kids how to make decisions 
  based on the situation then they can make 
  an extreme difference on the world.
<Mario> sometimes the only way to make peace 
  we need to have a war
<liliana> We can teach our children and 
  grandchildren to believe in themselves more 
  in what they believe in
<Katty> Why mario?
<Katty> Violence don't solve anything
<Katty> *doesn't
<Chris> I dont think we should change the 
  voting age. At our age we do get into the 
  political aspect of life but we do not yet 
  know whats actually happening.
<Mario> because if we act to late of going  
  to war there might be another terror attack
<A-Bev> Violence leads to violence.
<liliana> War is dumb, war to me is like a 
  bunch of little children fighting for no 
  reason
<Mario> peace leads to violence
<A-Bev> It is difficult to make peace by 
  going to war.
<A-Bev> Liliana is correct!
<Katty> That's not true because we can use 
  our mouths to fight instead of killing each 
  other
<Chris> War isnt always neccessary.  Things 
  can be debated on and then changed for the 
  better.
<liliana> how does peace lead to violene

<Mario> 4because they hate the fact were a 
  free country

<A-Bev> Mario, we all fear terrorism.  This 
  fear unfortunately leads to violence.

  some people support  terrorism

  dialogue, linking kids all over the world, 
  achieving and understanding through 
  discussions and the exchange of information.
<Chris> I think Bush is fighting his father's 
  war.  When Clinton was in office he was 
  able to keep the peace, as soon as Bush 
  stepped in the WTC was attacked.
