Discussion about
How Can I Be Heard?

Meeting in KidCom's Who-Am-I? Room
Thursday February 9, 2006 at
15:30 GMT

How many times have you felt that nobody is listening to you? There are ways to present our ideas and opinions that make people more willing to hear what we have to say. Do you think that kids should have a right to express what they feel and take part in decisions that affect them?

"To have too long tongue. (to talk too much)," by Helena from Slovenia , 2003

What others think..

  • Katie from Australia : I would like to see everyone in the world experiense equal rights. Everyone in every country no matter the colour of the skin, or what religion they have should be free to be who they are without fear of descrimination or getting killed. Men and women should be equal. All races should be equal. We should kill less animals - only those that we need to. We should cut down less trees. I think there should be no more wars. I think people that we think are crazy, should be given better lives. I think politicians should stop running the world - they should just be a mouthpiece for the people they are supposed to serve, when they are not right now.
  • Children have the right to have all rights. For example, the right to have a home to live, the right to play and the right to have adequate medical services. Adriana from Perú
  • "1. Protest legal. 2. Say YOUR opinion about the world. 3. Don't be scared of anyone. 4. If you live in a country with a military government, remember that you are a whole country, against a little goverment. 5. Bring peace, NOT war. 6. Love all the people in the world, unless they are dictators, murderess or other criminals 7. Don't let the races stand between your friendships. 8. There is nothing wrong with having a friend from another country. 9. Do only kill in selfdefend or because of a highly necesary reason." Nanna (15) from Denmark
  • "What are rights?" (part of the Who-Am-I? program)
