I resolve disputes by setting things
straight and letting them know ''violence'' don't solve anything . No I don't
avoid people that I disagree with. At most, I talk with them and try to encounter
being on a hostile side and I try to make things work . Yes I think that
lsitening to what others want and need really help, it gives you a beneficial
way of helping them and making them feel good. I think a third person does
help because their opinions may be valuable and can solve a problem as our
samoan ancestors say ''aua le tauga le fua o le moa ae lei fua'' meaning
never speak of what has happen. Dimary from American Samoa

Well with my family they can easily get along with one
of my friends, because they're the kinds that would accept anyone , not by
their judgements, whether their black, or white, but for how a person is
inside. By who the person is, and by what true being she/he really is. As
for my friends they truly share the same circumstances. Excepting anyone
by who they are , and by what they are ..... inside... Well, as a matter
of fact I never find myself stuck between two arguments, because we aren't
like that, we accept a person for who they are inside. If I were to choose,
I would have never choose either because I don't want to backstab my friend
nor my family, because I've been with them for a very long time. And that
it wouldn't be fair if I were to chose one of them.Cause it will either hurt
one of them real bad..... Lasitausaafia from American Samoa
