The Approval Challenge Art by Bjarki Freyr Svansson, 4. bekk 2, Iceland |
| When kids' responses are approved,
their responses will be included in a database where other kids may find
them, and make contact to investigate possible friendship. A mail will be
sent them containing a personal
Kidlink user name and password. They'll need these secret
words to get access to the identity and email addresses of those they want
to contact. These email addresses are not available to others, not even to
their teachers or parents! They must also use their secret passwords to access
Kidlink's interactive services.
We need a human to talk with those kids
whose responses cannot be approved outright. If they've been sloppy, we'd
like them to receive a mail in which you ask them to do better, and extend
some friendly advice, if needed. If their response is incomplete, we want
them to be given a second chance. Report from a "judge": Now, I have tried to act as "judge"! I must say it is fun and interesting. Everything went well after having received extra guidance from Anne-Tove - it is really very simple. I started with three Danish children (4465-67, all from the same school), but I must say that I find them to be rather silly! Then I moved east: one Russian and one Estonian girl (4458 and 4483) both 11 years old. That was something else! .. I do not doubt that they are serious, so I clicked at "admitted." This I did not do with the three kids from Jutland (13 years of age!), because if doing so I must explain my reasons, must I not? Next page: Click here for more information, and instructions.
