Present Projects

  • Draw a Story For Me aims to help younger children as they begin the big game of global communication. Participating students will share drawings and images that tell the stories of their own every day life. As they interact with other students using art they will begin to recognize and celebrate their cultural diversity.
  • Grandmother And Me - Students from around the world are encouraged to tell everyone the name they call their grandmother, ways they spend time (or did spend time) with their grandmother and why she is very special.
  • Diamond Poem Project - Draw a picture of you and write 5 sentences describing you, and a diamond poem about you.
  • Building Bridges - The "Building Language Bridges" project is designed to help us bridge language barriers that keep us from understanding each other. We use Art, photographs, sound and video as special ways to communicate about our everyday life.
  • Who Am I ? This program consisting of 6 different modules, helps the students write the answers to their 4 questions, while discussing topics such as Who amd I?, Where Do I Live?, What are My Rights?, My Friends and Family, What are My Roots?, and Virtual Vacation.
  • Hooked on Books - To encourage children to identify what makes a book appeal to them and be able to share this enthusiasm with members of their own classes and students worldwide using e-mail and the World Wide Web. To promote feedback and exchange of opinion by e-mail and encourage the children to extend their reading and experiment with new authors and genres.
  • I Have a Dream aims at helping kids and youth realize their dreams about their future and a better world. Students are challenged to plan, design, and implement an Internet based project to realize their favored dreams in collaboration with peers in other countries.
  • Kidwriters Share your writing on all types of topics. (Archive of Kidwriters)
