1979 was the "International Year of the Child." During that year a group appointed by the Commission on Human Rights began to draft the articles in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.Each one of us has a responsibility to make sure that using our rights doesn't spoil things for others. Spoiling another's rights is called, "infringing" rights. Before we look at these articles that the Convention developed let's think about some questions. Everyone knows how very special you are. It is very important to make sure 
that all of you, everywhere, have a happy, healthy and safe childhood. From 
the very beginning of your life you must be protected from all harm. This is 
a responsibility of your parents and your government.
But this requires that adults are also available to hear your opinions and you express them. How many times have you felt that nobody is listening to you?…Do you think that kids should have a right to express what they feel and take part in decisions that affect them?Read more
3) How can I be safe?

War, enviroment, poverty, hunger...

Do you ever wonder, "Why??? do I need to be home at a certain time when my friends can stay out until....? Why do I have to be in bed by... when I am not sleepy? Why can't I go here or there?"Your safety during childhood is extremely important so that you grow to your fullest ental, physical and psychological potential as an adult. This means you need adequate food,  shelter, and a loving environment. No one should harm you or abuse you in any way. Your parents have rules that help you be safe though you might not always agree with them. 
Wars exist in several  countries on the world.You may not be suffering from the ravages of war but many kids your age live now this experience 

If we don't take care of our earth we will ruin our safe environment not only for us but for all who come after us. 

Do not dirty your planet because probably not now but in future there complain".

Young people in various parts of the world go to school and do work part time. These small jobs help gain a sense of responsibility.

In some countries, however, children after school are forced to work to help their family, in other countries they are enslaved, can not attend any kind of education and they work in inhuman conditions and without any rights. - Have you ever wondered who makes the footballs you play with? - Many kids your age like to wear jeans.
