Starting "Late" With I have a dream

Best is for your students to start in I have a dream when others are. In this way, teams will benefit from a more interested audience of peers in other countries. When completing some modules out of sequence, it is harder to get others' attention.

On the other hand, this is not how life is. In business, companies who have been around for some time enjoy more attention, while new companies must work harder to get known. As I have a dream is a life training program, it is also designed to accommodate those who start later. You can start any time.

Always start with module 1. Let your students review their personal dreams for the future, and decide on personal priorities.

If there are other Dream teams active, your  students may be challenged to contact them and and ask to be included in their organizations by "applying for a job." This job might be an actual vacancy, or the student may apply to see "if they can use me for something."

Otherwise, let your students design their own teams. Lead them to module 2, and onwards.

As in any organization, some team members must be expected to leave before the projects have been completed. Also, in some teams they may be understaffed, or in bad need of talents that they have so far been unable to recruit. - Module 3 contains advice about how to apply for jobs. Review these, and help your students get a job with some ongoing team.

The further other I have a dream teams have advanced in time, the tougher this is. On the other hand, this happens all the time in real life. Also, some students may have enough stamina to pull it through, and submit their project for evaluation in module 6...

A first challenge will be time: to negotiate, organize, and put their new project into active operation, etc. The good news is that they may continue their Dream project when I have a dream starts a new cycle. If given the chance.

A next challenge will be to negotiate partnership with other participants. These may already be more than busy with other projects. On the other hand, there may be persons in other projects who have failed to get the top job they applied for, and who might be favorable to the idea of getting a better chance. To the new teams, recruiting an experienced person is a chance of winning time. Just as it is in real-life organizational life.
