Module Description

Art by Andrijana Ilic in Slovenia

Hello friends!

Your Dream Project Starts is the fourth module of Kidlink's I Have a Dream program. The module is designed by Kidlink teachers to support your participants with an environment for success as they work collaboratively with online peers from around the world. Within each lesson of this module you will find topics for participants to discuss and suggested activities that require action.

During this module participants will implement the dream project which they have designed. They will maintain, assess and revise their project activities to ensure success during this implementation phase.

Participating learners in each module of I Have a Dream will:

  1. engage in problem definition.
  2. develop skills in information finding, organization, evaluation, synthesis, creation and publication.
  3. brainstorm, organize, evaluate, prioritize and vote on ideas
  4. work cooperatively with their peers in written work and policy development
  5. develop skills in sharing information both orally and in written form to a larger audience.
  6. gain a deeper and more immediate understanding of the world
  7. experience learning across various subject areas, cultures, languages and age groups.
  8. take an active role and ownership in their learning.

Module 4 will last longer than other modules depending on the complexity of the dream project and the decisions of the team members and their teachers or coaches. The three lessons in the module are designed to work hand in hand as "mission control" to help participants remain focused on the tasks at hand.
