Hello friends!

Organize Your Dream is the third module of Kidlink's I Have a Dream program. The module is designed by teachers to support your participants with an environment for success as they work collaboratively with online peers from around the world. Within the three lessons of this module you will find topics for the participants to discuss and suggested activities that require action.

During this module participants will organize the dream project which they have designed and will create a plan of action to make it a reality.

Module 3 Time Line

Lessons Topics

Lesson 1 Define the goals, outline and time schedule

Lesson 2 Assign tasks, find support systems and organize the plan

Lesson 3 Publish the dream plan on the web

Module 3 Goals for participants:

To design an organizational plan
To work cooperatively in a global team environment
To communicate effectively, negotiate and make compromises
To become creative and critical thinkers
To assume responsibility and commitment toward a common goal
To develop a sense of inquiry and thirst for knowledge
To become mathematical problem solvers who can communicate and reason mathematically
To explore and use emerging technologies with confidence

Module 3 Objectives

Participants will do the following to achieve the goals stated above:

Define the dream project's goals
Develop an outline, time schedule and budget
Design ways to communicate across cultures, language barriers and age ranges
Assign people to tasks within the dream project
Concentrate and work on a task until completion
Locate support systems from home, school, Kidlink and community
Present and operate their dream project on KidSpace, in KidCom, or their own web page

Note: Coaches should use tasks from previous modules to overlap later lesson plans and modules. As module one alone contains many challenges remember to pick what is suitable for your team, plan your work carefully based on the project time line and use tasks from this module in later modules where you find it suitable.
