Friends,
Welcome to Path 3 of Module 5 in Kidlink's I Have a Dream Program. Join us as we continue our evaluation module. What if your dream project does get funding? What are your "wild dreams" and can you extend the project? How will you do this? Do you have a plan?

What new management situations will develop if you get funding for your dream project? How will this change the direction of your project? What additional pieces might be added to your dream? What challenges might you face? Will the duration of your project be extended? Will your project end or will it extend indefinitely?

Teachers, coaches and youth! Remember to register for the program, or add members or coaches to your team. ! If you have registered your Dream project in previous modules you don't have to do it again.

TThe activities and discussions below are suggestions. Use these as a guide for completing the program. You may always substitute other activities that are more suitable for your needs.

With a Little Help From Our Friends - Funding!

Your team has done excellent marketing of your dream plan and because of this, let's assume that you have secured additional funding. What impact will this have on your dream objectives? Will they change, expand and/or go in new directions? Brainstorm together as a team to redefine your dream plan objectives. Make a chart and record any changes, additions and/or revisions.

New Challenges - Real Money in the Budget

If your team is successful with your marketing strategies and is able to secure additional funding you may have new challenges to face. Together as a team you must address these issues.

  1. How will your team decide how the monies will be used? Make a list of ways to use the funding.
  2. Where will the money be kept during the project? Will you need to establish a bank account for your dream?
  3. Who will be the accountant?
  4. Who will disburse the money or write the checks?
  5. If all money isn't spent for itemized objectives what will you do with the remaining funds? Who decides?

Your Team Membership

Will the individuals, students, coaches or support persons who have contributed the most in time and energy to the project so far be available for a continuation? If not, what is your plan for recruiting new team members? Create a plan and implement it if and when necessary.

Your Next Steps

After you have revised your dream project as a result of your evaluation process you will proceed to Module 6. There you will present your dream project for voting and the award celebration.
