Now you have decided on your dream, the dream you want to become true to
ensure a better future. Then you have a very important task, how are you
going to promote your dream?
Think of things that you have been interested in, how did they get you
interested? What makes you look the second time and dwell more on something?
Does it matter how things are presented?
How are you going to catch the eye of people you don't know? They are from
various countries, different cultures, and speak all kind of languages. So,
what can you do?
You also have to think about the strengths of your dream. Could your dream
have the power to make changes in our world? Are you convinced they would
be positive changes? How do you ensure that?
In this lesson you are going to:
Develop ways to promote your dream.
Find ways to present it to interest others.
Decide what tools you are going to use.
Below you will find some discussion questions and suggestions for actions
you can take. Remember you don't have to do them all. You choose.
The activities and discussions below are suggestions. Use these as a guide
for completing the program. You may always substitute other activities that

Consider your "product" and its "packaging." Your dream "product" is excellent.
Now it is time to catch the eyes of potential partners as you promote your
dream plan "package."
Collaborate with your team members and write an essay convincing others that
your dream plan is excellent. List the ways that your dream could change
the world and make it better. Identify definite steps you will take to
materialize your dream. This will demonstrate that you have put deep thought
into your dream plan.
Make a logo for your dream.
Create a slogan for your dream.
Write a song or poem about your dream.
Make a picture that captures the spirit of your dream.
Demonstrate that your dream plan includes an awareness of cultural differences
by identifying components of the dream that address this issue. This will
make your dream plan packaging attractive.
Look around you for examples of successful marketing.
What draws your eyes to a product?
What TV commercials remain in your ears and your eyes? Why?
What advertisements can you still see in your mind? Why do you think this
is so?
What catches your eyes on a webpage - color, form, graphics, substance?
Research the strategies of successful "dreamers."
What people in the history of your country were successful in promoting their
dreams?
What people in the history of the world do you admire because they were
successful dreamers? What were their strategies?
When planning to promote you dream identify:
To whom you will promote it.
By what means you will promote it.
When you will promote it.
Who will promote it.
In your promotion planning identify:
Realistic limits to your promotion.
Unethical promotion plans to avoid.
Begin plans for a webpage to promote your dream.
Where will you host your webpage?
Kidlink's KidSpace? KidCom? Your school server?
List software and hardware that you will need.
Identify the talents of your team members that you will need.
What HTML resources do you already have in place? (html authoring software;
graphic software to edit images; ftp software)
