The "Math Around Us" Project 1999/2000

This Kidproj project ended in 2000.

Title:Designing the Perfect Space
Start Date: January 1
End Date: Open Through Duration of the Project
Summary:Students can design their "perfect bedroom", "perfect classroom", "perfect school", "perfect mall"...choose a place to map out the *perfect* space, it's up to you! Students can work individually, in groups, or as a class. This one is a bit more involved and requires use of mail and/or transmitting of Gifs.

1. Each class decides what their perfect space will be.
2. Decide if students will work individually, in groups, or as a class.
3. All finished projects should include the following to be sent to the KIDPROJ list:

Designer's school

Names of designers (if designed individually or in groups)

Title of the *perfect space*

Reason why this space was chosen by the class

4. The finished project must also be a written description of the space, or it may be a labelled map of the perfect space in GIF format. (GIF's should be sent to the project moderator at: lauriew@tenet.edu NOT to the KIDPROJ list!)
