Subject: [KIDPROJ] landmark introduction - Haynes Bridge MS
Hello from Haynes Bridge Middle School in Alpharetta, Georgia! Alpharetta is a suburb located north of Atlanta with a population of 21,500. Our capital city, Atlanta, is located in north central Georgia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Atlanta has been ranked 13th largest metropolitan city in the United States. Atlanta is famous for many things, but, one of the most important is that it was the site of the 1996 Summer Olympics. In addition to numerous sight seeing attractions, it is also home to the Atlanta Braves baseball team and the Atlanta Falcons football team. Several institutes of higher education also call Atlanta home; Georgia Tech & Georgia State University. Some famous Georgians include former President Jimmy Carter, Martin Luther King, Jr., Newt Gingrich, Jackie Robinson, and Martha Mitchell. Our school has about 1050 students in grades 6-8. We are 6th grade students. We are excited about having the opportunity to participate in this game. Good luck with the puzzles and have a great year!
