Fellow Landmark Contestants,
Our class is composed of nine seventh grade gifted and talented students. There are six girls and three boys. Our gifted and talented program meets one period a day to study social studies. As seventh graders, we concentrate on geography.
Barnesville Middle School consists of grades 5-8 with approximately 450 students. Known as the Shamrocks, we participate in several sports including basketball, football, cross country, volleyball, track, and wrestling. Other activities include the art club, student council, drama club, and marching band.
Barnesville is located in Southeastern Ohio in Belmont County. There are approximately 4500 people living in our village. Since we are a small rural community, we have a low crime rate. Every September we host the Ohio Pumpkin Festival and are home to the Belmont County Historical Museum and the Barbara Barbe Doll Museum.
We are looking forward to finding out about each of you.
