Subject: [KIDPROJ] Landmark Game intro from Allen Creek

Hello to all the game players! This is the third year our fourth-graders are participating in the landmark game. We are looking forward to some good clues and research opportunites. Allen Creek is one of five elementary schools in the Pittsford School District. Pittsford has a population of about 20,000 people and we are a suburb of Rochester, New York. We are between Buffalo and Syracuse and do not get the amount of snow those two places do. Our school is the smallest elementary school with 370 students. Our mascot is a Cricket and our colors are yellow and green. Our students have opportunities to join Student Council, Library Club, Physical Education Club,Chess Club, French or Spanish Club,Newbery Club and others. The Buffalo Bills are a favorite football team and starting next summer, the Bills will train at a college field in Pittsford! We enjoy the Rochester Rhinos Soccer team and the Rochester Redwings baseball team. In our area we have many places of interest to tourists. We are the home of George Eastman, Xerox, Bausch and Lomb,Susan B. Anthony. Niagara Falls is not far away and we have our own Genesee Falls where Sam Patch supposedly made a jump.

Good luck to all of us!
