Kid Day Journal
7:00 A.M. I just got up and I’m very tired.I am going
to eat breakfast.
8:00 A.M. I am going outside to wait for the school
bus. I forgot to put my cat inside.Oh oh.
9:00 A.M. I am at school greeting my friends.Some of
them are also doing the journal.
10:00 A.M. I am in French class and it is kind of
boring. Oh well, I do have to learn French. My friend
and I are writing notes to each other during this
class.We have just finished playing Bingo in French.
Now it’s time for English Language Arts. We are having
a Spelling test. Next, we are being given some time to
clean up our desks.
11:00 A.M. It is now time for recess and I am going
outside. There’s a school bus parked in our school
yard and this is a very strange looking site. There
are a lot of kids playing games with rubber balls.
12:00 P.M. I am in Math class and today we’re working
on constructing geometric figures. The lunch bell has
just gone off. Now it’s time to eat and then go
outside to play.
1:00 P.M. I  am back in class and it’s Friday
afternoon Art. We are making a 3-D plasticine rural
scene.
2:00 P.M. We were just outside learning about bus
safety rules. Now, we are continuing on our art
projects.
3:00 I am still doing my project and it is coming out
fine. Soon I will be going home. The end of the day
bell has just rung, bye.

Kid Day Journal
7:00 A.M. I woke up this morning and I am still very
tired.I got dressed and went to the kitchen to eat
breakfast. I ate cereal, pancakes, and hot chocolate.
8:00 A.M. I watched t.v. for half an hour until I had
to go to school.When I got to school,I played
Dodgeball with my classmates. I’m getting better at it
every day.
9:00 A.M. School has started and we’re going to have
French. It’s now, 9:20 A.M., and French has just
started. I think French is really boring. I think it’s
probably because I don’t understand anything.We’re
going to have a Spelling test. I hope I do well, but I
know I’ll probably do badly. I knew it, I did badly!
10:00 A.M. Right now, it’s still French class, but
we’re going to play Bingo.Last time we played Bingo, I
won.I received a free icecream as a prize.I’ll see if
I can win again this time. I won! Anthony, Manuel, and
I won! After French, we had to clean up our desk
areas. Mine, was really a mess.Then we had a Spelling
test, but this time in English.
11:00 A.M. We have just finished having recess.I
played Dodgeball. There was a bus in the playground
and kids were throwing rubber balls at it.Right now,
we are doing Math.
12:00 P.M. We just finished Math class and my hands
are really sticky from the plasticine we were using to
make three dimensional geometric shapes. Lunch just
started.
1:00 P.M. We have finished eating and now recess is
over. When we came into class, we started a Reading
For Understanding test. That’s just another name for a
comprehension test. Now, we’re going to have
Art.Today, we’re recreating 3-D country scenes out of
clay.
2:00 P.M. We went outside and learned about bus
safety. A policeman came and explained it all to us.
3:00 P.M. It’s almost the end of the school day. We’re
still working on our Art projects. It’s 3:20 and I’m
off. Hope you like my journal.

My Journal
7:00 a.m. My alarm clock rang. I got dressed, brushed
my teeth, and ate breakfast. Then, I got dressed to go
outside.
8:00 a.m. I ran out to my bus stop and talked with my
sisters until the bus came.When I was on the bus, I
took my seat and talked to my friends about parties.
9:00 a.m. I got to school and played  dodgeball with
my friends.The bell rang , we went inside, and got our
books ready to start school.Then the French teacher
came in for French class.
10:00 a.m. I’m still in French class. It is now second
period. French is a double period on Friday.We just
finished a test. The teacher explained the answers and
we’re going to go over it again.I’m so happy we’re
given a chance to go over it. The French teacher just
changed his mind, we’re going to play Bingo instead.I
didn’t win, but it’s o.k.Now it’s English class and
we’re cleaning out our desks. The teacher is giving us
around twenty minutes to do this.We’ve placed all our
extra books and other things in our lockers
instead of cluttering up our desks.Now, we are having
a Spelling test.It’s very easy.
11:00 a.m. The bell rang to go outside.We got dressed
and went out. To my surprise, there was a bus in the
school yard. I played dodgeball and I talked for
awhile with my friends.Then the bell rang to go in.
12:00 p.m. I’m making shapes with straws and clay for
Math. The clay is bright orange and so are my
hands.We’re learning about vertices, sides, and edges
in Geometry.Now,I’m doing a Math worksheet on
division.
1:00 p.m. I played dodgeball at lunch recess. I got a
lot of people out, and I caught someone’s ball.Now,
I’m back inside and I have to do a reading test, while
the teacher is getting all the stuff out for Art
class.The teacher is now explaining how to do dough
masks. We’re going to make the some time next
week.It’s going to be fun.
2:00 p.m. We just came back from a class on bus
safety. A police officer showed us how to sit properly
and how to act whenever we’re in or around a bus.
There were quite a few safety rules. I didn’t really
like this activity.
3:00 p.m. I am now tracing a picture of a cow in a
field. I have to blend many pictures together to
create my own scene. After, I’ll be putting colored
plasticine over my picture. My fingers are all black
from my pencil. It’s now time to go. So long.

Melissa’s Journal
7:00 a.m. Today,at exactly 7: 00 a.m., I am listening
to my favourite South Park tunes off my tape.
8:00 a.m. I’m eating my breakfast of scrambled eggs
and a glass of  chocolate milk.Now,I’m getting dressed
in my black sweater, my black t-shirt, and my cargo
pants.
9:00 a.m. I’m now at school, at my desk, sitting next
to my best friend in French class.WE’RE WRITING A
TEST! AHHH!
10:00 A.M. I’m still in French. Today is a double
French period. I’m so dumb, I got everything wrong on
the test! If French was more interesting, it would
have more meaning, and I wouldn’t do so badly. Now, we
are playing Bingo in French.
11:00 a.m. It is time for recess. All we did outside
was talk. A passing car beeped at us for no reason, so
we yelled at it.Did I tell you that there was a bus in
our school yard? WEIRD! When the bell rang, we lined
up silently outside in our lines and then came
inside.Anyways, that’s what happened at recess.
12:00 p.m. So far, we’ve been making straw and
plasticine shapes for Geometry. It’s fun. I worked on
this with a good friend. My other close friend is busy
at the back of the class making dough for our masks
for  a project next week. It’s going to be lunch soon.
For lunch today,I have Lunch Mate Pizza. YUM!
1:00 p.m. During lunch I worked with my friend,
Kathrine, replacing the school secretary. While she
eats, we answer the phone. Kathrine and I talked
together until our shift was over. I had some time to
go outside to play dodgeball and talk with
friends.When the bell rang, we lined up, and then
marched inside to write a reading comprehension test.
2:00 p.m. We were just outside where a policeman was
going over bus safety rules with us. One thing was
funny, when the officer asked a question to a
classmate who wasn’t listening. He would tell her to
repeat what he had just said, and of course she
wouldn’t
know.The policeman would whistle loudly and yell
out,”YOU’RE DEAD!” It was quite entertaining.
3:00 p.m. It is now near the end of the day and we’re
doing an art activity. We’re working with plasticine,
recreating farm scenes. Mine is a newborn baby calf in
a field. It’s fun. I love Art! It’s soon going to be
dismissal time and I’ll be leaving. Take care.

My Journal
7:00 A.M. I get out of bed to start a new day. I put
on my clothes and head to the kitchen.“Today,” I think
to myself, “will be a  long day!”
8:00 A.M. Today, while waiting for the bus, I find it
quite cold. I get on the bus that is a lot warmer.
9:00 A.M. I got back two of my Reading tests. My marks
were a B and a B+. I also got back four of my Spelling
tests.(which I got A’s on.)Today I remember that I
have a double period of French.
10:00 A.M. I am still in French class. We are very
still and quite, but at least we are playing Bingo!
11:00 A.M. Recess has come and gone. There is a school
bus in the school yard. The reason that it is there is
because a policeman has come to school today to go
over the bus rules with us.
12:00 P.M. We are now doing Mathematics. To be more
specific, we are doing Geometry. Today we have to
stick straws together with plasticine to make certain
geometric figures that are on page 220 of our
textbooks. It’s not much fun. We have to put down the
number of vertices, edges, and sides of each figure in
our notebooks. Great,it’s finally lunch! We get stuck
eating in the classroom, but at least we have a long
recess outdoors after.
1:00 P.M. We went outside in the school yard where the
bus is parked and met a police officer who was really
really strict. He was showing us how to sit and walk
in a bus. We are now having  Art class. We are making
3-D clay scenes on cardboard. We chose the picture we
wanted to do from a book  titled ‘The Little Calf.’
2:00 P.M. We are still doing art. I am finding it
quite difficult, because the scene I chose has a lot
of small details.
3:00 P.M. We are still doing art. It’s starting to get
boring. Most of my class is busy talking about
Pokemon. It’s good to know that soon we will be going
home. It’s now 3:20 P.M. and the bell has rung. We are
packing all our notebooks and duotangs in our school
bags for signing and off we go.
