My Daily Journal
5:00 AM. Ah! It's too early to get up but Sasha my cat thinks it is. I'm still too sleepy and grumpy I'll just roll over and hope Sasha will let me get back to sleep.
7:45 A.M. This is much better, I'm not as grumpy as at 5:00 a.m., For the next 15 minutes I will just lie back and cuddle with Sasha. Just enough time to wake up and stretch.
8:00 A.M. Now I guess I should get up and get dressed. Being home schooled is great I can wear anything I want, today I'll just wear jeans and a tank top. It's pretty cold out but if I stay indoor I'll be fine. Breakfast is a bowl of frosted flakes, what a treat, Mom and Dad never get these cereals. They must a felt we needed some sugar or something! After breakfast I always go feed my two Black Bear hamsters, their names are Mittens and Midnight. During the night I need to take all noisy material out of there cages because they keep me up. So in the morning they are all excited to hear my voice, they know they are going to get their toys back and also going to be fed.
9:00 A.M. Now I wonder what Mom has prepared for us for school work? See Mom can spend a lot of time getting stuff ready for school but we never know what she's up to. Well I need to do some Math. My Dad is home from work today because it's Remembrance Day Weekend, and since he's the one that does Math with me I don't need to wait till tonight to do it.I have to do a test he says, I guess I have no choice.
10:00 A.M. Still working on math, Dad says once I'm done that's it for the day. Oh no! Mom herd that and said there's more school work to be done. She's not as easy as Dad is. I'm finally done at 10:30 and I'm going to take a brain-break. So I go into my room and write for a little while in my journal.
11:00 AM. Mom finally says its going to be a mellow day. We are baking 2 pumpkin pies and also chocolate chip cookies. While the cookies are baking I'm also making a loaf of bread, it's easy with a bread maker.That was fun especially when you get to be the baker you get to taste everything before anyone. Oh no! An ambulance just arrived next door, our neighbor has had 3 strokes already I hope he's OK. Weather: Cloudy with sunny breaks Temp. 5 C Wind 10 Km/ NE
12:00 P.M. Lunch time, what are we going to eat? I'll be honest after tasting those sweets I'm not that hungry but I'll eat Mr. Noodles there easy to eat, and then for dessert some More Cookies. I'm full I need to digest. Mom says now its time to clean up the mess, so Philippe and I are to clean up. Dishes and more dishes, pots and pans also.
1:00 P.M. I go on the Internet, to check out the Crocodile Hunter Web Page. Cool stuff. Now Mom and Dad say I have to get off they want us to go for a hike at the Chime Wetlands. It's such a beautiful day. So we all pile up in the car and head for the Wetlands. When I say we all, it means Mom, Dad,my twin brother Philippe and my youngest brother Peter. We started walking around the trail but we came to an area that had been closed, they were fixing the path. So we turned around and headed for another area. While Dad and my brothers headed one way Mom and I headed another way, lets say it was our time for one on one. We like doing that just running away from the guys. We came across a place a beaver had been chewing on a tree. Mom notices that because she Loves Beavers, she finds them cute and interesting. So we talked about there habitat and looked to see if we could spot a Beaver dam,but no luck.
2:00 We also came across 3 geese's we were about a foot away from them and they just looked at us and continued with there meal in the swamp.We joined up with the rest of the family and skipped some rocks on the swamp, which was partly frozen. Then we all headed back home.
3:00 P.M. Well now I must watch my TV show Crocodile Hunter. Today's show was about making new home for the crocodiles. The pond there in, are getting over crowded. So they will temporarily relocate them until there new home is built.They also showed us video clips of when Steve Irwin and Terri Irwin would have problems with there filming, such as bloopers.
4:00 P.M. I played with Peter, colored, practiced the alphabet and also numbers. I find it hard sometimes because he acts like he doesn't understand. See Peter is special needs and he is 6 but mentally he's maybe 4, so I get frustrated with him.
5:00 P.M. Got to help Mom with supper. She say no, that's OK. Just watch your show and I'll let you know when its ready. I'm watching 7th Heaven, I love that show I watch it as often as I can. It smells so good were having roast beef, mashed patatoes, mashed turnips and mushroom gravy. Then will have the pumpkin pie and whip cream for dessert.
6:00 P.M. Weather Cloudy with clear breaks Temp. 3 C Winds: 10 km/ NE Dishes again, one thing about being a big family you always have a lot of dishes. You always seem to being doing dishes in this house. But I guess Mom feels the same way about doing meals. It's time again to feed all the animals, cats" Misty and Sasha" ,dog "Otis", turtle"Sid", hamster "Mitten and Midnight. It's just about time I get a break here this day been long.
7:00 P.M. I'm playing video games with my brother. Mom and Dad just got news about our neighbor, he's been sent to Royal Columbian Hospital, he is having surgery it seems he had a blood clot the size of my dad's fist in his brain. So can everyone say a small Prayer for him, Please.
8:00 P.M. Time for me to watch my TV show the new season of 7th Heaven Wow! Good show tonight.. I find this show really make you think about life

I woke up at 9:00. The temperature was -5 C - warm for this time of year! I got dressed in some jeans and a sweatshirt. I went outside and took care of the chickens. I went back inside and ate cheerios for breakfast. I grabbed a book called, ?The Diary of Anne Frank? and read until 10:00.
At 10:00 two of my friends came over and we decided to try and trap some squirrels - no luck! (We weren?t really serious anyway!!) After that we played with some pipe and ran water down a hill through it.
Around 11:30 we came back in and ate lunch which was homemade vegetable soup and crackers. After lunch I decided to have a shower. I then went down to the computer and worked on my school for about 2 hours.
At 2:30 my mom and brother and I went for a walk. We got home around 3:30. I went to my room and listened to some music - I like almost all kinds of music by the way.
At around 4:00 I started practicing my piano. I practiced for about 45 minutes. We ate dinner (fish and salad) and did the dishes.
At 6:00 we started watching a movie on tv called, ?Lion Heart?. It was good. The movie ended at 8:00. I watched, ?Law & Order? on tv after that.
I went to bed after that and read for about half an hour or so.

Hi. This is Cameron Jacobsen from Quesnel, BC in Canada. I can?t wait until it snows!!! I live out in the country. I think it is fun to live here. It gets really cold in the winter, but I love to snowboard and snowmobile so I am happy here. I woke up around 8 am and I looked around my bedroom and went back to sleep until 9:00. It wasn?t a school day today so I slept in. It was Rememberance Day. I don?t eat breakfast so I started the day by working on an art project. At 10:00 my friends came to play. We made mud slides on a hill and made a trap out of sticks for a squirrel trap.
I came back in the house for lunch around 12:00. I practiced piano for an hour after lunch. After that I played Nintendo in my room - my favortie game is Trok. I went for a hike with my mom and sister for about an hour. Then I went out to the barn and climbed on the rafters and built my fort.
We ate dinner at 5:00 and then I had to help do the dishes.
At 6:00 I watched a movie on tv. It was called ?Lion Heart? and I really liked it because it was about knights.
At 8:00 I went to bed . I got to read for a half hour - I think it was longer than that. I?m in the middle of reading a Star Wars book called the Dark Rival. I like those books.
Oh yeah, I?m 9 years old. I?ll be 10 in March. I?m in grade 4.

November 13, 2000 (because of November 11th falling on a Saturday this was not an official school day)
9:15 - Got up.
10:15 - I've had home-made waffles with no wheat or dairy, read a bit of a book _Helen Keller's Teacher_ and I'm watching a TV show "Quantum Leap" with my Mom and sister.
11:15 - Played Starcraft (with new cheat codes from my Dad), did math program on the computer, yawn
12:15 - More Starcraft, walked along the hall, yawn again (whoopee for Starcraft!).
1:15 - Lunchtime! Samosas, peanuts and rice crackers. I also watched my sister play Age of Empires 2).
2:15 - Mom had a friend over with a six-year-old boy. I had to entertain him. Did stuff, yawn.
3:15 - Played, the boy went home. Not much new.
4:15 - More Starcraft.
5:15 - No more Starcraft - waah! Reading _Helen Keller's Teacher.
6:15 - Write report on China for Social Studies, it is due on Friday.
7:15 - Ate tacos and green salad for dinner. Started to watch part 2 of movie called "In the Beginning" with Mom and my sister.
8:15 - More movie.
9:15 - Movie ended, had bed-snack of Japanese orange and a piece of my Halloween candy.
10:15 - I fell asleep.

8:00 AM I just woke up and I am on a long weekend at my Dad?s house. This is a vacation for me and I get to play video games a lot. Right now I?m playing ?Spiro? and ?Army men air attack?
9:00 AM I am watching ?Casper and Wendy? the movie with my brother and my dad.
10:00 AM I?m still watching the movie. It?s good.
11:00 AM I?m having a toy war. All my warriors are animals.
12:00 PM Played the toy war.
1:00 PM We went down town to pay bills but the bank is closed. We forgot that they have a Holiday too, it was Rememberance Day on Saturday.
2:00 PM Went shopping aat Superstore. We also returned a video to Blockbuster.
3:00 PM Went to the Auction to pick up a chair for Great Grampy.
4:00 PM We saw a horse wagon at the Auction. It was neat. We saw a silver horse wagon saddle, it was SILVER. 5:00 PM We watched a TV show that we?ve never seen before. It is called ?Buzz Lightyear of Star Command?
6:00 PM Played more video games.
7:00 Pm Came home and checked up on Roller Coaster Tycoon. It?s a computer game I bought with my birthday money last week. I just turned 8.
8:00 PM My mom is reading stories to us before we go to sleep. We have had our bedtime snack and brushed our teeth. Oops, the first book my mom tries to read is French. She doesn?t know how to read French, but she tries. We laugh at her and then we read ?Why there is no Fighting in Heaven? and ?The Boggart?. GOODNIGHT

8:00 AM I woke up at my Dad's and watched my Brother Justin play video games and I played with my action figure toys.
9:00 AM I?m still playing with my toys and I?m watching a movie with my brother and my Dad.
10:00 AM Still watching a movie. It?s cool.
11:00 AM I?m having a tow war with Justin. My warriors are robots, animals and super heroes.
12:00 PM We are eating hot dogs for lunch.
1:00 PM We are down town with Dad, the banks aren?t open.
2:00 PM We went shopping at Superstore and Dad bought groceries. We got to look at toys.
3:00 PM We took Great Grampy to the Auction to pick up a chair. I saw a stuffed Beaver, a set of electric cars and a power wheels truck.
4:00 PM We came back from town and continued playing with our toy war.
5:00 PM Dad, Justin and I watched a new Pokemon and Buzz lightyear.
6:00 PM I wrestled with Dad and got ready to go home.
7:00 PM I helped mom finish cooking her soup and tested it with her. We had a bowl, but I didn?t eat the carrots or celery.
8:00 PM We had mincemeat tarts and milk for a snack, brushed our teeth and got ready for bed. Mom read a funny story and then I was supposed to go to sleep. I wasn?t tired so I played with Justin and our puppy until we got into trouble. Then I went to sleep.

KIDDAY: November 13, 2000
8:00 I woke up on Monday morning and read 3 chapters from Marlfox: A Tale of Redwall book. This is my favourite book in the series. Today is a holiday from school work because our Remembrance Day (Nov. 11) fell on Saturday. 9:30 I finally got tired of reading, climbed down from my bunkbed and went to the kitchen for breakfast. Jean Luc, my little brother, made a banana milkshake and shared it with me. I had raisin bran with frozen blueberries and milk for breakfast.
10:00 I played ?Grunts? on the computer with Jean Luc. We took turns because it is only a one player game.
10:30 After the game, Jean Luc and I went outside to build ?shelters? out of apple and cherry branches that my dad had pruned yesterday. We soon realized that there were not enough branches to make two shelters so I gave my branches to Jean Luc and I went back inside to play computer with our friend, Jeffrey, who had just come over. 12:00 We had leftover stew for lunch. Yuck! I soaked a piece of bread in mine to try and get the taste out. After lunch I got my gear together and went to work with my dad. He had some yard work to do for one of his customers. He can do a lot more things than just plumbing and gas fitting!
12:30- 3:00 We pruned the trees, weeded and cleaned up the gardens, and then loaded the trailer with all of the yard waste which we took to a farm to be burned.
3:30 We came home so that I could change and get my gear for swimming.
4:00 My dad dropped me off at the pool for my workout with the Swim Club. After he had driven away, a girl in my group told me that the class was starting ½ hour later today. We spent the next ½ hour watching the other swim classes until our coach arrived. It ended up being a hard swim lesson anyway. Along with the land training, we did interval training (7-50m sprints with 10 sec. rest in between) and then 16 lengths front crawl. When we were done I saw that my dad had come to watch the end of the session.
5:30 I went to get changed and then we were off to pick up Jean Luc from karate at 6 p.m.
6:00 Picked up Jean Luc from karate and drove to Banners restaurant to meet Mom for dinner. (Mom was off donating blood at the blood donor clinic today). For dinner I had a cup of clam chowder with a seafood clubhouse sandwich washed down with a cherry milkshake. Much better than lunch!
7:45 We left for home from the restaurant. 8:00 Jean Luc and I watched the t.v. programs: Dragon Ball Z and Gundum Wing.
9:00 I got ready for bed and played with my tortoise shell cat, Cocoa. She likes to sleep on the end of my bed.
10:00 I listened to Mom read from the book, The Secret World of Og, to Jean Luc and then I read the last 5 chapters of my book.
11:30 Finally finished I turned off the lights and went to sleep.

My Day: November 13, 2000 (My mom is helping my type this because I can?t type as fast as I think.)
9:00 I woke up in my new room. Yesterday I changed rooms with my Mom and Dad and now I sleep upstairs. I really like my new room.
9:30 I had breakfast. I made a banana milkshake in the blender and this time I remembered the lid! Two days ago I forgot to put the lid on and the milk went everywhere. After breakfast, I played a game called Grunts on the computer.
10:30 My brother, Mathieu, and I went outside with our dad to build shelters out of the apple and cherry tree prunings. It was freezing cold outside but sunny. I wore my winter coat, gloves, sweat pants and warm boots. I don?t know what the temperature was but it was cold.
11:30 I came in the house to play computer with our friend, Jeffrey. He lives in our neighbourhood.
12:00 We had lunch. We had stew. After lunch I got ready to go for our Cub hike. I like Cubs. I am a first year and have lots of badges already. I am in Green Six with Ian, Maliya, Douglas and Michael. It is fun.
1:00 Mom and I drove to the Cub meeting hall and I played in the park until we were ready to go to the Cheam Wetlands.
1:30 At the Cheam Wetlands we went on the boardwalk hike over the lake and all the Cubs in our group tried to lean on one side to look into the water. It didn?t tip but water came up over the edge so I stepped back to stop the water. We saw trees with wiring around the bottom to keep the beavers from cutting the tree down. We saw lots of green algae stuff in the water but no frogs because it was way too cold. There was even some ice along the edge of the water.
2:45 We switched with the other group and went down the beaver trail. We saw beaver ?slides? where they slide down the bank into the water, we saw a beaver lodge and lots of chickadees and other birds. We also saw a flattened grass area with a trail going to it. That is where the deer go to rest when there aren?t people around.
3:45 All the Cubs met by the parking lot where Akela had made hot chocolate. We also ate some trail mix. Then we drove back to the Cub hall.
4:15 We dropped the Cubs at the hall and then went home so I could change from my cub uniform in to normal clothes and pick up my karate uniform.
5:00 I went to my Junior Karate class. I am a Yellow belt but I don?t have any stripes yet. We did the warm-up and practiced our kicks and katas.
6:00 My dad and Mathieu picked me up from karate and we went to Banners restaurant to meet my mom for dinner. I had a hot dog, fries and a milkshake for supper. I was so stuffed.
8:00 We got home and I watched t.v. for an hour. I watched Dragon Ball Z and Gundum Wing.
9:00 I began getting ready for bed and played my gameboy until Mom came in to read. My favourite game on the gameboy is Pokemon Red version.
10:00 Mom read a couple chapters from The Secret World of Og. I like that book.
10:30 Lights out.

7a.m. I got up at 6:30 and read my old journal.
8a.m. I fed the horse and the goats and my cats, and watched the sunrise.
9a.m. I have been drawing and reading Lord of the Rings [by J.R.R. Tolkien]. I also played with my friend's brother. 10a.m. My mum and I and my friend cleaned out the car.
11a.m. I drew a picture of a unicorn and talked to my mum about going on a trip to Vancouver.
12p.m. I got wood for the fire and read more of Lord of the Rings.
1p.m. I did chores (I made my bed and cleaned up the living room) and read some more.
2p.m. I had lunch, put away the dishes and listened to the radio. I also played with my cats.
3p.m. I organized my desk and I started reading Tatsinda [by Elizabeth Enright].
4p.m. and 5p.m. I went skating with some of my friends. Their dog went too close to the edge and fell in. Jorlene (the mum of my friends) went to get her. In the end it was all okay.
6p.m. My friends and I did some of the animal chores , and then we went in to help with supper.
7p.m. We (the five of us) had supper and then my mum and I came home, and I am going to watch Mulan.
8p.m. I put my pyjamas on, brushed my teeth, and watched Mulan before going to bed.

6:30 I woke up and read books in bed.
7:00 Played NHL '99 hockey on the computer and read books.
8:00 I practiced piano and then I did jobs (I vacuumed the dining room and mat). For breakfast, Mom made waffles and blueberry syrup. I had three huge waffles.
9:00 Today is a holiday for me because Remembrance Day was on a Saturday so I don't do any school. I go to school at home and email my teacher on the computer (on school days). I got ready to go swimming.
10:00 Dad and I went swimming until 11:30 at the new swimming pool near our house. I went down the waterslide 7 times.
12:00 We got home from swimming and had lunch. I had a cheese sandwich and a chicken drumstick and a banana.
1:00 I watched Thomas the Tank Engine on TV.
2:00 I played road hockey outside with my friends.
3:00 We went to the library to get books.
4:00 Andrea and I went to curling until 6:00. (Andrea is my sister).
6:00 We had dinner. I had rice and cream tuna with CORN (I love corn). Then I read some books I got out of the library.
7:00 Andrea and I watched a music video about Rossini and then I got ready for bed.
8:00 I got into bed and read some books.
8:30 Mom and Dad came and said goodnight and I went to sleep.

Hi Myrna; This journal entry is from Garnet Kehn. Garnet is 8 years old and lives on Quadra Island, which is between Vancouver Island and the mainland.
8 a.m. I was still sleeping! When I got up, it was 8:30. I patted the dog for a while and gave her a biscuit, then we made porridge for breakfast.
9 a.m. I ate breakfast. I cleaned the porch and stacked the firewood. Mom and I read poetry together
10 a.m. My sister went to her job as Mother's helper. I learned 7 new words and practiced writing them. We played Bongo, a word search game.
11 a.m. I wrote a story about biking. I love biking.
12 noon I did some math, it was mostly subtraction. I checked some of my answers with the calculator. I helped mom cook noodles and sauce and salmon for lunch.
1 p.m. We ate our lunch. We listened to music, it was Carlos Santana. We did some laundry.
2 p.m. We went to feed a cat we are looking after. Mom walked and I rode my bike. When we came home we read and talked about babies and having babies. Our friend had a baby yesterday. It was a boy.
3 p.m. We took my sister to horse riding lessons. Mom and I went grocery shopping.
4 p.m. We picked rose hips at Rebecca Spit. Mom is going to make jelly out of them. We read stories while we were there. It was foggy out.
5 p.m. We picked up my sister and came home. I put on the Beatles. I built a fire in the wood stove. I wittled an arrow and made bundles of dynamite out of empty toilet paper rolls and string to paint.
6 p.m. I cleared and set the table. We ate dinner. It was potatoes and tofu and onions and yams and broccoli. The potatoes were my favourite part.
7 p.m. I fed the dog. I practiced the violin and did some more math. Our babysitter came over and mom went to her women's group. Our babysitter is Tara.
8 p.m. I helped bake an apple crisp with my sister and my babysitter. We played Sim Town on the computer and listened to music while it cooked.
9 p.m. We ate the crisp. The crust was really good, but the apples were not very juicy. We barely got to bed before mom came home so we were still awake for cuddles.

In the morning I get up at 7:15 or 7:30 and brush my teeth and brush my hair. I go let the chickens out in the morning. I gave them grass and wheat and water and food. I come home inside for breakfast.
School at 8:30. There is no school today so I write a journal. We are taking Hazel to Nanaimo to see her friend and Mon is taking lunch with us.
We leave at 10:30. Mon stopped for gas so we go to Nanaimo There are a lot of traffic on the road and lots of noise. Because it is holiday so people going somewhere.
We are there at 11:30 Hazel's Nancy has lots of wild birds .
When it is lunch time we set the table and we eat at 12:20. We had pea soup and egg sandwich and muffin and cracker and chocolate cake. When we finish lunch, we did the dishes.
We leave at l:40. There is not much traffic.
We are home now at 2:30 When we come home we play badminton until 3:15. at 4:40 I put the chickens to bed . I help Mon cut the onion.
I set the table at 5:00 We had chicken and pasta and onion and salad. After supper we did the dishes. Then we take the garbage out then we come inside to watch a movie after that I go brush my teeth then I went to bed at 8:40. good night.

COLIN

My name is Colin MacBean. My age is 9. I live in Richmond, B.C. Canada. I home school and I'm in grade 4. I woke up yesterday morning at 7:00. It was a holiday. We sent to a bird sanctuary. This is a place to keep birds safe. It was sunny and cold. I wore two jackets. We went by car. I went with my Granny, Uncle Bob, Auntie Kahlyn, Daddy and my brother Graham. We were there for three hours. I caught ten ducks!! You grab them by their bodies. I loved it!! The ducks feel soft.

We went to White Spot, a restaurant for lunch. I ate salad, fries and had root beer and ice cream for dessert. After lunch we came home and played Need for Speed, a car game on the computer. I won every game I played. We did not watch TV. I went to bed at ten o'clock after my relatives left. I hope you had as good a day as I did. Smiles from me to you.

Colin GRAHAM

My name is Graham MacBean. I am 7 years old. I live in Richmond, B.C., Canada. I home school. I woke up at 8:00. It was a holiday. I went to a bird sanctuary. It was sunny, very windy and cold. I wore jacket over jacket over jacket. We drove in Granny's car. We went with some family. We were there for three hours. We put down seed and when the ducks were eating we petted ducks. My favorite part of the day was petting ducks. We also saw snow geese, kingfishers, owls and cranes.

For lunch we went to White Spot. I ate salad and fries and ice cream. After lunch we played computer games after we got home. We didn't watch TV. We also looked at Uncle Bob's and Auntie Kahlyn's photos. They had been to Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia. They were really fun. Now I know what a durian looks like. My math book talks about them. Dear Ms. Coates, this is Ben and Claire, edited by my dad. There are a couple of pictures attached too. November 17

8 am - got up and went for breakfast in our hotel. I liked the sweetbread. (Claire)
9 am - watched tv for a while in our hotel. There are a couple of channels that have English but most are in Chinese. We liked those channels anyway!
10 am - went on a tour of the kite museum. They have a dragon kite that is over 360 meters long and it winds through the hallway of the kite museum.
11 am - walked to a furniture market. Leather furniture is cheap! One of the sales people wanted my mom and dad to keep taking our pictures with their furniture!
12 - we ate lunch at MacDonalds
1 pm - we took three pedalcabs to the Kite market area
2 pm - we are still shopping for kites in the kite market. We bought some kites for our friends in Vanderhoof
3 pm - went back to our hotel and cleaned up. We watched some more tv.
4 pm - went to a friends grandpa and grandma's house for dinner. We had lots of different dishes but the noodle soup was the best part. They had a very small apartment but it was nice on the inside.
5 pm - I started getting a headache and a stomach ache. I think it might be from the pollution in the air here.
6 pm - We played with our friend Niu Niu and mom and dad drank tea.
7 pm -We went back to our hotel and I got sick. My dad helped finish this because I am feeling sick to my stomach

My Journal of November 13
Jessie Giguere Grade 5 Nechako

9:00 am - 10: 00 am I woke up, and said Good morning to my mum. I had corn flakes for Breakfast, and played with my dogs for a minute. My mum asked me to take one of the dogs for a walk after breakfast, so I got dressed and took Daisy out.
10:00 am - 11:00 am I worked on a birthday book I am making for my friend Sadie's birthday. She is 13. I also started to make a playhouse for my little roommate Jonah. He is two years old. We got a TV this week, so I am using the box it came in for the playhouse.
11:00am - noon I watched the movie 101 Dalmations with Jonah.
noon - 1:00 pm 101 dalmations ended, and my dad made me scrambled eggs for lunch.
1:00pm - 2:00 pm After lunch I went on the computer, and wrote a story in the Castle programme we have, about me and my sister. You can put your voice into the story, so I basically wrote it to bug my sister Emilie.
2:00pm - 3:00 pm I went out side with my friend Eddie, we saw Ilene and Bianca and walked around for awhile. 3:00pm - 4:00pm I watched the movie Aladdin with Jonah ( he likes to watch TV)
4:00pm - 5:00pm I finished watching Aladdin, and I went back out side with Eddie.
5:00pm - 6:00pm I watched Cinderella with Jonah (I told you he liked to watch TV)
6:00pm - 7:00pm I watched the jungle book with Jonah and ate supper at the same time.
7:00pm - 8:00pm After supper I talked for a while with my friends. We were all telling really scary ghost stories because a lot of people who come to our house think it is haunted. it used to be a house where nuns lived. Just before Supper my sister had been upstairs, and she heard someone whisper her name. She thought it was our room mate Brenna trying to freak her out, but when she got downstairs she saw that everyone was down there, and Brenna hadn't been upstairs.
8:00pm - 9:00pm I had Bryers chocolate ice cream for dessert and I showed my sister the story that I wrote for her. 9:00pm - 10:00pm My friends went home, and I started watching a really cool show called "Getting even with dad." MacCauley Culkin was the star.
10:00pm - 11:00pm The TV show ended and I was really tired so I went to bed. I couldn't stop thinking about the ghost stories, so I went in to my mum and told her I couldn't sleep. She told me to sleep with my lights on, so I did.

8:00am Got out of bed, but I was awake before that. Hank (my Papa) was calling excitedly, ?twelve Stellar?s Jays are eating stale peanuts on the porch railing!? (These jays are a large black and blue bird with a crest on their head).
8-9:00 In the last hour I ate my breakfast - granola & milk with raisins and bananas. It has snowed (1/2 cm)! This is the first snow of the year! This is a rather slow morning. Brushed my teeth and hair.
9-10:00 Got dressed (black sweatshirt & jeans). Fed my fish. Then Marisa (my Mama) and I looked for earthworm eggs in the worm compost for my fish. Good compost, but no eggs. He likes fruitflies.
10-11:00 I mostly did math. I also ate a snack of yogurt. I was hot, so I changed into a T-shirt.
11-12:00 Finished math. Did spelling on the computer. Had a break.
12-1:00pm Ate lunch - rice, cheese and carrots - on the porch. It?s about 5 degrees C but sunny. Played with my farm Playmobile.
1-2:00 Practiced my piano pieces. The sun set behind the mountains at 1:43pm (rose above the mountains on the east side of the valley at 8:15) - but it?s light much earlier and dark much later.
2-3:00 Played with my Playmobile while Marisa & Hank pruned the raspberries.
3-4:00 Got ready for going to my friend Wasani?s (7th) birthday party. His sister is my age. Drove to the party - it took about 40 minutes to get there.
4-5:00 Played musical chairs, a game called fruit bowl, and had a treasure hunt outside. They had a little bonfire. 5-6:00 We hid our presents for Wasani to find before he opened them. Had supper - tacos with beans and cheese. Played tag and then had cake - chocolate icing and plain cake on the inside.
6-7:00 Played tag ?til Mama picked me up. Got my goodybag - frog-shaped soap, a special pencil, chocolate coin, toffees, and transfer tatoos. I also got a tiny wax candle. Drove home.
7-8:00 Looked at my goodies, talked with Marisa and Hank. Started my second part of piano practice - scales and triads, etc., sight reading, theory.
8-9:00 Caught up on this tiring journal - it cut into my reading time today. Read my Owl magazine, put on my pyjamas, brushed my teeth and went to bed at about 9:30.
