David
We will also visit some villages. As we travel around the area, we will capture the images using a digital camera and write a story to the picture. These stories and pictures will describe the beauty of India. We will focus on the contrast between: As we move from one place to another we will send our daily journal with the pictures whenever possible. Most of you will be on holidays. We understand you will not be able to use your school computer. So, our parents have changed our travel plan to accommodate at least one week in December and another week in January. This will help us to send email from Madras. After we come back, we will be willing to offer any questions and give you feedback to continue this project.

Objectives:

We will learn about the differences (contrasts) that exist in India.

  1. We will show you the wealth of India including its rich historic resources and the gold jewelry shops.
  2. Instead of illiteracy, we will show how computer academies and manual laborers co-exist.
  3. You will learn about the religions in India and how they celebrate Christmas.
  4. You will learn the differences between the way Hindus and Christians celebrate New Year.
