My Granny!

I call my Paternal gran Fifi and my Maternal gran Gran. I like to go shopping with my grans because they sometimes buy me cookies and sweets. I think my grans are special because they gave birth to my mother and father who gave birth to me.

The way of saying grandmother in Afrikaans is Ouma (Ou as in obe, Ma as in Margaret)

The word for "grandmother" in Xhosa is umakhulu - pronounced "ooo maa koo lu"

The Zulu for GrandMom is Gogo, not as in "go for a walk" but as in the "o" in order.
