Nanna

I call my grandmother Nanna because not many people call their grandmother Nanna so that is why I call her that.

I like to play cards with her because she does not cheat.

Ek noem my ouma Nanna, omdat nie baie mense hulle ouma Nanna noem nie, so nou noem ek haar so.

Ek hou daarvan om met haar kaart te speel omdat sy nie verneuk nie.

The way of saying grandmother in Afrikaans is Ouma (Ou as in obe, Ma as in Margaret)

The word for "grandmother" in Xhosa is umakhulu - pronounced "ooo maa koo lu"

The Zulu for GrandMom is Gogo, not as in "go for a walk" but as in the "o" in order.
