The way of saying grandmother in Afrikaans is Ouma (Ou as in obe, Ma as in Margaret) The word for "grandmother" in Xhosa is umakhulu - pronounced "ooo maa koo lu" The Zulu for GrandMom is Gogo, not as in "go for a walk" but as in the "o" in order.
