Dear Patti
My name is Megan W and I am in grade three. My teacher is called Miss Strano. I am nine years old. My granny's name is Joan. I call my granny granny. I love my granny because she likes me to come to her house. She also likes me to come sleep over at her house. Once when I got a scratched by her cat she gave me a syrup sandwich. I love my granny.

Lots of love Megan.W.

The way of saying grandmother in Afrikaans is Ouma (Ou as in obe, Ma as in Margaret)

The word for "grandmother" in Xhosa is umakhulu - pronounced "ooo maa koo lu"

The Zulu for GrandMom is Gogo, not as in "go for a walk" but as in the "o" in order.
