For grandmother we have many names like mama, stara mama, babi, babica, baba, oma, nona... How we call our grandma depends on the connection with her. Some of us have great-grandmother, too. We can call her the same as grandmother ( we call her stara mama or mama ) and for grandmother we take other names ( like babi, baba, babica, oma, nona ). I have two grandmothers. Their names are Marija and Pepa. Marija is my mum' s mum. I love her, because she always smiles and likes to listen to me. She can tell stories and my sister adores them. When I was younger I liked them too. She is a good cook. She smiles all the time and when I am sad she makes me happy. Pepa is my dad' s mum. She is special because she is very amusing. She loves me and my sister very much. I like to go on holidays to her house. Every day is interesting. We always have a good time there. Alja In another message Alja wrote... I can write to you one of my grannies story. I listened it when I was younger. A long time ago lived a girl who didn't have parents. She slept in a cowshed. She was asked good people for food. Whwn she was walking along the river she saw an little duck. She took care for her. After three weeks the the girl saw an egg. That wasn't an usual egg. That was a gold egg. She sold the egg and bought some clothes and food. Soon the duck lay more gold eggs and the girl bought a house. she lived there with her duck- gold duck. That's one of my grannies story. Now she tells them to my sister. But she talks with me and gives me her advices. In Pepa's house is different. My sister plays with dolls from rags. She makes them with Pepa's help. I like to look for old things in her attic. There is full of old things (clothes, stamps, letters, books, old money) from her life. Always found something new.

She is the best cook in the world. When I am unhappy, she cheers me up. I love her very much.I like to go on holidays to Kamna Gorica. Together we have a great time. She is never angry with me. When I was little she always looked after me. I am always grateful to having her. I have two grandmothers, Fani and Amalija. They are full of surprises. Thank God for these wonderful people. Marusa In another message Marusa wrote... Hello! Thanks for answering me. Kamna Gorica is a small village in the Slovenian Alps. If there is a lot of snow (not this year) I go skiing, as there is a small ski-lift there. The best day I can imagine at my granny's place looks like this:I get up late (about 10 a.m), I don't get dressed for a long time, have breakfast (poppy or nut rolls, coffee) and watch TV or read books. At about 12 o'clock my best frind Tjasa comes and we have a great time.
