Hi! My name is Kennta. I am a boy and and 10 years old. I like to play baseball. My grandmother name is Midori. Midori means green. She likes green very much. She teaches me how to grow flowers and vegetables. I will gift her flower handkerchieves for her birthday present. I watch TV with her. She advice me about my health. She is a good doctor for me. I often go to my Oba-chan for advice because she is a good my teacher.

grandmother in Japanese:

obaachan, obasan, obaba,

obaachan is usually we use for grandmother. obaasan is a little bit polite way to say.

If you talk about your own grandmother, you may say obaacha for friendly. And if you want to say another person's grandmother, you'll say it for obaasan for polite.

Obaba maybe uses in local places not in the city.

Those are the Japanese words for grandmother.

Thanks,
Isamu
