Artist: Shiho
Hi, my name is Shiho. I am 10 years old. My hobby is playing basket ball. I like to ride one wheel bicycle, playing tennis, badminton and bowling. I call my grandmother "Ba-ba". Her name is Sadako ( It means formal girl ) and I call her "Sadako@ba-ba". I take a long walk, watching TV and cards game with her. When I visit her house, she always cooks special cooking for me. When I catch cold, she comes to my house to care for me. She told me a lot about the War. She was lost her good friends and house by the War. She teaches me how important to make keep world peace is. I will draw her picture and present it next her birthday.

grandmother in Japanese:

obaachan, obasan, obaba,

obaachan is usually we use for grandmother. obaasan is a little bit polite way to say.

If you talk about your own grandmother, you may say obaacha for friendly. And if you want to say another person's grandmother, you'll say it for obaasan for polite.

Obaba maybe uses in local places not in the city.

Those are the Japanese words for grandmother.

Thanks,
Isamu
