My name is Saki. I am a girl and 8 years old. I like drawing pictures. I add "Oba-chan in Japanese" on my picture. She encourages me and to continue my activities. Her name is Yukiyo. "Yuki" means snow and yo means girl. She teaches me a lot. She is a good teacher for me.

grandmother in Japanese:

obaachan, obasan, obaba,

obaachan is usually we use for grandmother. obaasan is a little bit polite way to say.

If you talk about your own grandmother, you may say obaacha for friendly. And if you want to say another person's grandmother, you'll say it for obaasan for polite.

Obaba maybe uses in local places not in the city.
