Hi! My name is Momono. I am a girl and 8 years old. My Hobby is running. I call my grandmother "Oda-chan". Her name is Aiko. "Ai" means lovely and "ko" means girl. Yes she was lovely girl when she was my age. She was very kind for me. I spent much time to listen her creative story. Her stories are very interesting. Next her birthday I will send my letter. How about your grandmother? I want to be your grandmother's friend.

grandmother in Japanese:

obaachan, obasan, obaba,

obaachan is usually we use for grandmother. obaasan is a little bit polite way to say.

If you talk about your own grandmother, you may say obaacha for friendly. And if you want to say another person's grandmother, you'll say it for obaasan for polite.

Obaba maybe uses in local places not in the city.

Those are the Japanese words for grandmother.

Thanks,
Isamu
