Hello Mrs Patti Weeg ,

Thank you for the letter!

Yes, I bake the sweets with my grandmother.

It’s very funny!!!!

I’ll describe you what CAPPELLETTI are:

You take some minced meat, cheese and vegetables and cook it for half an hour; then you make little balls, this filling is called Ripieno per Cappelletti. Then you make the dough and with a special machine for pasta, you make some strips of dough, very, very thin. You must divide them into a lots of little squares.

You put a ball on a square of dough and make the egg-noodles and you form a triangle. You connect two angles and you make Cappelletti, put them on a pot full of broth and cook them. You must serve them with grated Parmesan Cheese.

Bye!bye!

Hello Patti,

Thanks for the letter!!!

I go with my paternal grandmother to the centre of Reggio Emilia by bus to help the needy people.

On Saturdays we go to the centre of Cavriago by bicycle to buy clothes or shoes. It’s very nice!!!!!!!!

One day my maternal grandmother, with other people from the parish and me has taken a coach and, we went to Torino to see the HOLY SHROUD. It was very funny, and very interesting.

Bye!bye!

Alessia

It's "nonna". But that could be your father's mum or mother's mum. You have to say "nonna materna" for your mother's mum and "nonna paterna" for you father's mum.
