Here are the words we wrote down while thinking of how to describe both places in our town,
 
 

subject 1
           Architecture: towers, drawbridge, paved street,cobblestone street, paving stone street, cobbles, wooden sculptures, grotesque, half-timbered houses, closes, dark alleys, walls, canon ball holes,old city door, dark, narrow,strong,grey, old, ancient,antiques, medieval, middle aged,

            Feelings: draughty,windy, humid,damp,nostalgia, smell of fresh bread, smell of roasting meat, souvenirs of the croissant at 4.30 after primary school or the fresh "brioche" as a snack for  school

          Activities: colourful shop windows, bakery, butcher's, delicatessen, photograph, bookshop, school, appealing, appetising, lively

          Sounds: children laughters, noisy, sound of women's heels on the cobbles

           sights: sandy beach, grassy parts, lawns,trees,willows,plum trees, boats, picnic outfits, swings, ducks, moorhens, fish, birds,tobbogans,train,fishermen,hills

           feelings: barbecues, candy apples, ice creams,grilled peanuts, freshly cut grass, water,dampness, children laughters,ducks diving,calm, peaceful, restful,quiet,sun on the skin

          activities: to walk, to watch,to play, to sail, to cycle, to slide down, to speed down, to run,to fish, to go round
