Hello!

The class and I have had a difficult time making a decision about where to take our field trip.  Actually, it wasn't difficult to decide which place we felt was the "essence" of who we are, but it has been difficult to finalize our plans for a field trip.  You see, our economy depends on the Kennedy Space Center.  That is mainly what our county is known for, and so we are planning a trip to the Space Center.  Since some of us haven't been recently and there are new programs for students, it's been hard to decide which part of the Space Center we want to describe.  Additionally, with John Glenn's space shuttle voyage on October 29th, things are very busy at the Cape!  There is a lot of excitement around these parts, whether you agree with John Glenn's mission or not, just because so many tourists are expected in town, and because some of the "old folks" (like me), remember when John Glenn first made history from here.  We just received our confirmation today that we can take our trip on November 4th.  We're looking forward to sharing with you and are enjoying reading about the other places being described.
