Our students come from the communities of Rock Hall, Tolchester, Sandy
Bottom, Edesville, Fairlee, Georgetown, Piney and Skinner's Necks.
The two sixth grade teachers are Mrs. Ahrens and Mr. Hynson. Rock Hall
is a small fishing town which boast visit of presidents George Washington,
John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison. The town is
know for its once thriving seafood industry. The area has experienced
many changes over the past twenty years. The town that was once familiar
to the locals has changed to a tourist spot. There are many marinas
in the Rock Hall area that draw boaters from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware,
Virginia, New York, and New
Jersey all in a single weekend. The 6th grade will be taking a walking
tour of Rock Hall. We will be sharing
the sights, sounds, feel, smells, and tastes of Rock Hall's remaining
seafood industry with fellow Through Our Eyes participants.
We are looking forward to meeting pen pals from around the world. We hope to hear from you soon.
