 LETTER OF INTRODUCTION
Sjöängsskolan, Kalmar, Sweden
Teacher:  Lars Lindell

We are class 6B from Sjöängsskolan. We come from Lindsdal, near Kalmar, in south.  In our class we are seventeen students, six girls and eleven boys. Our teacher's name is Lars Lindell. Our school is very nice. We don't wear school uniforms. There are 400 kids in this school.  In our classroom, we have five computers. Three of them are with Internet. We can use the computers any time. We have flowers and small candles on the tables (we don't use singel desks). The walls are
decorated with posters and drawings. We have a sofa for reading and nice curtains. We also have a turtle in the classroom. His name is Jürgen. We don't know his age, but we have had him from fourth grade (we are now in sixth grade). Jürgen is very cute! He lives in a very, very big aquarium. Before we also had crickets and fishes. In our class we go on quite many field trips. The last one was with canou on the Baltic sea. We spent the night in tents. In May we spent a week on Öland, an island in the Baltic Sea. We were out in the nature, lived in small cottages and had very nice food. We also bathed, played cards, played tennis and had great fun. Next week we are going to visit the very old castle in the centre of our city. We work with themes. That means we focus on a special subject for some three or four weaks. At the moment we concentrate on commersials, advertisments and PR. In fourth and fifth grade we worked with themes like rainforest, cats, agriculture, the Titanic and the Second World War. Those subjects are decided by both us and our parents. It is very intereting as well as fun to work with themes.

We'll see you in the TOE-writing!
All the best from
Class 6B, Sjöängsskolan in Sweden
