The Los Angeles Zoo
Whelan Elementary School, Lennox, California,  USA
Teacher:  Leticia Varela

We went to the zoo.  The zoo is very big.  It has a lot of trees.  It has lots of animals.  It has a lot of water.  We went up the hills.  We went down the slopes.  We saw  a  lot of green grass.  We saw a lot of happy people.

We walked a lot in the zoo.  We felt hungry.  We felt happy because we saw a lot of big animals.  We felt cold under the tall and green trees.  We felt hot in the pretty yellow sun.  The yellow sun made us very thirsty.  So we drank cold water.  We felt glad but tired.

We heard  lots of animals in the zoo.  They sounded beautiful.  They sounded loud.  We heard falling water.  We heard a lot of feet running and walking.  We heard boys an girls talking and screaming and laughing.

The animals in the zoo are beautiful.  Some snakes were green.  The green snake was on the tree.  It looked scared.  We were scared too.  The gorilla was black and fat.  The big gorilla was eating leaves.  It's house looked like a forest.  I was not scared of the gorilla because it was in its house. The green crocodile was in the cold water.  It was asleep.  The gigantic hippopotamus was swimming in the water.  The water looked green and dirty.

We had fun in the zoo.  If you have a chance, come visit our zoo.
