LETTER OF INTRODUCTION
Lone Rock Elementary, Stevensville, Montana
Teacher: Pat Okland
Hello Everybody!
We attend school at Lone Rock Elementary and are in the fifth grade. Lone Rock is a small school located 10 miles from the nearest town. We live in the Bitterroot Valley with the Bitterroot Mountains on the west and the Sapphire Mountains on the east side of the valley.
Uniforms are not worn at our school. Most of us dress casually. Our favorite brands are Nike, Billabong, Quiksilver, Lee jeans, and Canyon River Blues. Several students have beanie baby collections. Magic card decks are also popular at this time. Many students are very interested in animals, and they have horses, dogs, cats, birds, goats, cows, pigs, rabbits, and chickens to name a few. This class is very sports minded and they participate in soccer, tetherball, baseball, snow boarding, football, skate boarding, in-line skating, basketball, tennis, softball, volleyball and skiing.
Our teacher's name is Ms. Okland. We study math, American history, science and language arts. We do many activities on the computers. Our class has 26 students, 11 girls and 15 boys.
In our free time we like to watch TV, visit each other, ride bikes, read Harry Potter books, and play electronic games.
We are looking forward to participating in this activity!
