LETTER OF INTRODUCTION
Bayside Elementary, Stevensville, Maryland
Teacher: Susan Cox
Our class is a fourth grade class at Bayside Elementary School on Kent Island. This is in Queen Anne's County, Maryland. Our school is
located on an island in the Chesapeake Bay. The island is separated from the mainland by the Kent Narrows and the Chesapeake Bay. Kent
Island is considered to be part of Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Students in this class study all of their subjects with one teacher in the same room all day. Subjects include reading, language(grammar, writing), math, science, and social studies. Students study such things as Maryland history, animals, magnetism and electricity, story elements, comparisons, and of course multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction.
Our class consists of 22 students, 9 girls and 13 boys. The students in this class are interested in many things. They like soccer, football, gymnastics, and baseball. Hobbies include water sports, playing video games, and reading. A big rage this year is collecting Pokemon cards. This is a game with the cards or the cards can be traded. It is considered advantageous to make the best trade. It helps to sharpen their trading skills. Of course, things like Pokemon cards are not allowed in school for obvious reasons.
Mrs. Cox's class can't wait to begin reading the other introductions and essays.
