Hello from Southwestern Illinois.  Belleville is located just 15 minutes East of St. Louis, Missouri, in the center of the United States.  The St. Louis metropolitan area, of which Belleville is a part, is a major ground transportation hub.  Several East-West and North-South interstate highways intersect within 20 minutes of Belleville.  Belleville is known for having the longest mainstreet in the U.S.

This is our first on-line challenge and we anticipate that it will be tough for our class.  However, we have been practicing our search techniques and regardless of win or lose believe this will be a fulfilled learning experience.

Our school, St. Augustine is located East of the city center, Belleville has a population of 41,000 with a strong German heritage.  Our school population is around 200 students.  As you can tell, we are a small Catholic school, but consider ourselves big on school pride. We are competitive in all areas from academics to sports.
