Name Interview Suggestions

  • Interview your parent or guardian to find out what your name means. Does it have significance to your immediate family? other generations? your culture? popular culture?
    1. How and where did I get my name?
    2. Why did you choose my name?
    3. What religion is my name from?
    4. What does my name mean?
    5. Did any relaties have my name? Which ones?
    6. Who gave me my name?
    7. What is the history of my name?
    8. What is the symbol of my name? What does it represent?
    9. Is my name multi-cultural?
    10. How old is my name?
    11. Is there any physical background to my name (like places connected with it)
    12. Can you tell me an interesting story about my name?
    13. What are your feelings about my name?
  • If you could change your name, what would you change it to? Why?
