Taishan Overseas Chinese Hotel à Dofu and back
Perspective of Shoes
I was just lying on the floor waiting for my owner to come wake up me on. All night I prayed that it wouldn't rain. As my owner opened the curtains I realize that it was another wet day. Tied tightly, I headed down the stairs to breakfast. I had no clue where we were going but we were walking down a busy street. Jumping in puddles and getting all dirty I noticed that we were heading for some kind of market. As we got closer I could feel that my owner was getting tense because her toes curl every time she saw something she didn't like. This was enough we, my owner and I; had both had enough of this wet market so we turned around and headed back to the hotel. I was getting all wet, again!
ON THE BUS
Cold! I'm so wet and now I have to sit on a bus for about an hour and it has the air-cons on full blast! My owners feet are also extremely cold because I can feel them shivering. An hour passed and we were almost at the end of our journey. I could hear all the people saying that we were going to have to bike all the way back to the hotel and it as busy pouring with rain! I can just imagine all the mud and all the water! YUK! Walking off the bus I was really nervous. Oh no! So much water. I can feel it soaking through my tongue. Water is now rushing into my body and my owner's feet are surrounded in water, but she still insists on riding through all the muddy, dirty puddles. We pushed down hard on the peddles making the bike go faster and faster. Suddenly there was a flash of light and we started pushing harder on so that we could get to shelter. We stopped at a little restaurant were everyone sat down. I had a nice rest under the table while my owner enjoyed noodles and tea. When she was finished we helped clean up the restaurant. She grabbed a mop and I stepped in all the mud and sand in the restaurant as we cleaned all the mess up. We were now all done and ready to head back to the hotel. Just in front of the bus was a nice big puddle and I could feel my owner running towards it! NO! She jumped right in it and just stood there while I was totally under water. She now strolled to the bus. I now had to freeze for another hour before I would get back to the hotel.
AT THE HOTEL
We are walking up the stairs, my owner skipping stairs. "Can you open the door for us, please?" my owner asked at each floor. She ran over and I met some of my old shoe friends. They belonged to the lady that opened the door for our room. My owner was in an extra good mood and she washed me nice hot water to get the entire dirt off of me. Now I am all ready for tomorrow and all the things that it will bring.
