How Do We Participate in Virtual China `97?
Preparing to Travel Along Virtually
First, for those teachers and students who may not yet
be subscribed to KIDLINK, student participation is
limited to students who are 10-15 years of age.
Students need to subscribe to KIDLINK and KIDPROJ by
sending an email message to:
listserv@listserv.nodak.edu
In the body of the message include the following text:
SUBSCRIBE KIDLINK yourfirstname yourlastname
SUBSCRIBE KIDPROJ yourfirstname yourlastname
(you must subscribe to KIDLINK before subscribing to
KIDPROJ, therefore the order is important)
Once subscribed to KIDLINK, each student needs to answer
the following four questions and send his/her answers
to:
RESPONSE@listserv.nodak.edu
The questions are:
-
Who am I?
- What do I want to be when I grow up?
- How do I want the world to be better when I grow up?
- What can I do now to make this happen?
If your WWW Browser supports forms, you can answer the
four questions via WWW from the
Response page.
Does your group have any questions that you would like us find the
answers for? Please send your question to the KIDPROJ list
before April 1, 1997 and we will try to find out the answers
during our travel in China. Send questions via email to:
KIDPROJ@listserv.nodak.edu
In the subject line please put:
Virtual China:Pre-travel Question
Please be sure to include the name of your school and email
address.
Traveling Along with the Study Groups
All messages from the groups traveling in China will be
posted on the KIDPROJ listserve environment. If you have
subscribed as directed above you will automatically
receive the messages emanating from China. Our students
will be "working" in small groups which will be
responsible for observing, recording, and researching
topics such as education, transportation, agriculture,
religion, industry, pollution, etc.... as they travel.
If you have any questions for a group(s) they should be
sent to:
-
-
KIDPROJ@listserv.nodak.edu
-
On the "Subject" line please type the following:
-
Virtual China: (intended travelling group)
-
Examples:
-
