Mrs. Lewis Bike trip
Ms. Joyce Tan's Group

Morning Itinerary
By: Brett Bergmann and Brian Townsend

At 7:00 the doorbell and phone rang simultaneously. Brett answered the door and I took the phone. Mr. Woo was at the door and told us it was time to get up.

Time flew by, and we were to pack before 8:00. At eight, all the bikers met in the lobby. Breakfast was Chinese food, a change from the usual menu!! Then we bussed out about 100 yards from the hotel and visited a cookie factory. It was interesting, and the majority of us enjoyed it.

Tom Woo is a teacher of ours, and after the cookie factory, we took the bus out to the village of his ancestors. Mr. Woo was born in Hong Kong but last visited his village when he was ten. While we were there, we saw Chinese homes and how the Chinese lived. We gained a lot from the experience and won't forget it.

Perspective of a "odd" Duck.
by Ryan Hewitt, Gr. 7

Hi my name is "Quacky". I'm one of the many thousand of ducks on this farm. All the other white ducks think I'm weird because I have a green head and a few green feathers. After the ducks finally accepted me into society, These "WHITE PEOPLE" came into my domain and messed with my brothers' dead corpes. Here's my story: These white people came into my master's house while he was gone and came to us and took a picture of me, probably because of my green head amist the thousands of white heads. Then they started to laugh at us because we were running away from their filth. I mean they were so dirty because they shower in clear water and soap but ME I wash in brown water that has washing detergent. Now because of these PEOPLE paying so much attention to me, the other ducks look at me as if I'm filth and I have been kicked out of DUCK SOCIETY.

Perspective of a cookie

Hi I am a cookie. Lots of people like to eat me but before I was the sweet little thing I am, I had to go through lots of steps. The first was that I had to be put together by eggs sugar, and lots of other stuff. Then I was squished out by a big rolly thing. Then a horrible thing happened, at first my family and I were together. Then another rolly thing cut me and my family apart. Even part of my uncle was cut in half. Then a warm front came through ( I got heat stroke!) Finally the warm fronty ended. We were riding along a conveyer belt (See picture of the conveyer belt "cookies.jpg" ) Then a sweet filling was added to me. Her name is Sophie. Then me and Sophie got packaged up and got sent to a lady with a red shirt on. And she took us to a hotel and gave us to many kids with red shirts on. Finally one kid grabbed me and ate me. And he said, "Delicious! and me and Sophie were happy.

Perspective of a grain of rice.
April 16, 1997

I first came from a grain of rice, other than ten other seeds we are so small. Someone suddenly picked up us and put us in a little baggy, as I remember I got put in a big, huge rice field. Me, Bob, Lewy and Freddy (My Friends) all got put in the same rice field. Within a couple of weeks, my friends and I all grew leaves and other grains of rice, but I was the best. I got separated from my friends when a woman with a big hat on her head and gold teeth found me. I was put in a big package. After about three months, me and other grains of rice were sold. We rode on the back of a bike, and as I turned my head, I saw a group of strange red people with colored hair and big round things on their heads. I was put in a bowl for dinner. I was petrified, then suddenly"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" I am being cut with white things into millions of pieces. With my last breath I said, "I'll miss Freddy, Lewy and Bob, I wish I had legs and could run away!"
