Rainforest Sights and Sounds

As I listen to the sounds of the rain forest,
As I watch the spirited animals fly, run and sqawk!
As I also watch man tear down all of the lovely and beautiful nature of mother earth,
I think ......
We as a people need to work
Together to save these wonderful and spirited Animals.

Animals

Animals sleep in the rainforest,
Some live above ground
Others live under.
Monkeys swinging from tree to tree,
All the birds squawking
While flying away.

Rainforest

The rainforest, a place where people like to visit.
It is a very beautiful exhibit.
In the rainforest many creatures move around
Through sound.
Some creatures don't.
They will attack before you can say "Oh no".
Every creature in the rainforest is special in it's own way
By ....
calling, falling,
hearing, fearing,
scaring, tearing,
eating and beating.

Water and Wildlife

Green, brown, clear water -
Rushing water down a rock -
Forming a rainbow - beautiful and bold.

The wasps give up homes to ants.
The forest is lively - quiet and cool.
Don't disrupt it or else!

The animals won't hurt you -
So don't hurt them!

Almost gone!

Green and beautiful but almost gone.
Lovely, colorful but almost gone.
We try to save them,
But they are almost gone.
And yet they survive.

Animals talking!

Ooo, ooo, ooo!!! went the orangutang.
Bam, bam, bam!!! went the gun.
Grr!!! went the panther.
Slick!!! went the skin.
Please do not destroy the rainforest.
That's the animals talking.

In the Rainforest

In the rainforest if you look up high
You'll see trees that touch the sky
Their big canopy will cover the ground
So if you look down few plants will be found
The weather is moist, humid and hot
A cold glass of water will really hit the spot
If you go to a rainforest you'll see what I mean
When you come back you'll love what you've seen

I like the Rainforest
Because the Rainforest has
A lot of green stuff.
The rain forest
It has all kinds of great animals
And birds.

Why?

Why? Why don't people realize that every time you cut down a tree it's killing homes as well as people?
Why? Why don't people realize that every time you cut down a tree you make the world a little less beautiful?
So why do we do these things?
I just have one question, why?

Rainforest

Rainforest, rainforest don't destroy it
Breathe the air and just enjoy it.
Listen to the birds
Hear the breeze
See the animals surrounding me.
Feel the moisture on the ground
Look around and see what is found...

Rainforest Sounds

"Sss" goes the snake, finding its prey.
"Ack" goes the bird, sighting danger.
"Veech" goes the monkey, finding food for it's young.
"Ewash" go the leaves, meeting the wind.
"Ish" goes the water, filling the river.

The rainforest is beautiful!
Why does mankind destroy it?

It is estimated that

an acre of rainforest is destroyed every second!

We hope you will join us to find out why!
