Type of Dish: Main Dish

Chicken curry is a very delicious dish. I love to eat it because it is my favourite dish. It is quite spicy, but we all like to eat it in my family. We usually eat it quite often and always at home as it tastes better when we cook it ourselves. I hope you are all able to try and make a dish as you won't be disappointed.

INGREDIENTS:
A.
3 big onions
5 cloves garlic
1 inch ginger root

B.
3 tabs curry powder
3 tabs cooking oil
3 tabs yoghourt
1/2 cup chopped spring onion
2 coriander leaves
1 whole chicken cut into pieces
2 potatoes peeled and diced

INSTRUCTIONS:

Heat the oil in the wok. Add the blended onions, garlic and ginger. Stir for about 10 minutes till golden brown. Add the curry powder and half a glass of water. Cook until aromatic. It may take another 5-10 minutes. Now add the chicken and potatoes and stir for a few minutes.

Cover the pot and cook for about 10 minutes over a medium flame. Then add some water and yoghourt. Stir and cook for a couple of minutes.

Dish out on to a serving dish and garnish with the cut spring onions and coriander leaves.

Serve with hot rice.
